Last Day at School
Thursday 12th of February
When we first arrived at school, we were frightened to go in: the lobby?s windows were covered with huge black plastic bags and all sort of creatures were wandering in: fishes, Vikings, mermaids, pirates... It was obvious that something unusual was happening. Then we remembered... It was the abiturients? (the final year students) last day at school before they were released on a study vacation for the national exams, and they were celebrating it by having an event where they wore costumes (the theme was ocean), painted our faces with lipstick, made fun of the teachers ?and freshmen- and had an abiturient show before the abiturient drive where they throw candy from the trucks.
In the morning when we arrived at school at 8 am, they had made us a tunnel ? even though they didn?t have to come to school before 10 am - which we had to crawl through. At the end of the tunnel they fed us a portion of some nasty liquid and painted our faces. We had the first two classes normally, but after that they gave some lessons to us. Then they had planned this ABI- show where, for example, the teachers competed ?as groups- against each other in our own World Idol- contest. After all this it was time for the most popular part: the candy- drive!!!!! Once again we showed our true nature by chasing after sweets with the kids from the lower stage of the comprehensive school. Generally, that is the funniest day of the school year... Believe it or not!!!!!
Friday 13th of February
On this chilly Friday we had a winter sport day in the morning, but a more interesting event on that day was the ball of the oldest. The sophomores became the new oldest students of the school and they celebrated it by showing us old ballroom dances, which had been trained a lot. Beautiful dresses and elegant feeling got us dreaming of our own ball in the future... And of course, our dresses!!!!
