Jean-Louis Fournier:

"Il a jamais tué personne, mon papa"

New ways of dealing with literature:

After reading selected stories from the above mentioned book in class, each school tried to find new ways of making the stories more accessible to students. Some commented on the stories.

The German students decided to present the stories as powerpoint presentation, two mediator presentations and a flash film were also produced. Sound files were included to make the stories come alive.

Summary of the stories:

A young boy talks of his father who was a doctor. A very popular doctor. Even though he was a drinker and his instruments were not always very clean.

The whole family suffered but the father never stopped drinking and died young.

Although the summary sounds sad, most of the stories are really funny, above all the one when a patient wife?s complains to the doctor?s wife that her husband didn?t want to eat the leeches (which the doctor had prescribed) although she had fried them with butter and parsley
