As a teacher of English and French I know how important regular meetings with foreign partners are for our students. That is why I am responsible for the Scottish exchange which has been taking place for more than ten years now. During a 10-12 days? stay, groups of about 20 students attend lessons in Peebles High School and find out more about life in Scotland in their host families and on excursions.
When we were asked during our stay in 2001 if we could envisage a further cooperation within a Comenius school project, we agreed immediately. Together with Peebles High School, their Finnish partner Vammalan lukio and the liceo artistico in Arese we applied for a project, titled ?ICT-UCEurope?.
New media, ICT skills and their responsible use is interesting and important both for students and teachers. Within the framework of projects from various areas, students and teachers of the participating countries can contact each other and exchange views, using e-mails, the forum of our web site, video conferences or project meetings.
Getting to know other methods of teaching, other conceptions and ways of life will enlarge the horizon of all participants and will make us true European citizens.
